Score the Date Using Great Expectations Dallas

June 8th, 2009

Look, I’m not that desperately eligible dude, traditionally satisfied by sitting at home missing the fun every weekend. I’d bet you have never heard me post on great dating and relationships. Not a fan of the drama.

Datelessness is an unfortunate trait and totally absent from my man programming (man-gramming?). However, Here’s the situation, I had no choice but to put the breaks on a 3-year fling which meant a lot for us but essentially deadended for both of us. I guess one might go on record saying it may have been years since I was dating. I don’t hold the great expectations for dating I held years ago.

Living free and single isn’t bad. It’s a given that I won’t sit tight, peacefully binging on Lost on DVD. The biggest cause of this spell of weekend dating lameness? The people I know are settling down, and there are fewer available women.

My accomplished football pal, Tim, who has never had dating loneliness, informed me he’s now in the same boat. He introduced me to this Dallas dating service called Great Expectations. Not usually my thing, but I enjoy introductions with new chicas with similar interests. Go figure, I decided to make a change and signed up.

Keep it real, there ain’t room to complain due to not having plans when you haven’t called anyone. As my old football coach Jason Smith carried on grinning, “You’ll never win a race you don’t run, shooter.”

So he was divorced 4 times. Even so, Coach was a source of truth in a good old fashioned way. He meant well to everyone. This crazy series of Dallas singles events I just went to could have done a number on the gipper’s mind.

At yesterday’s Great Expectations dating events I mingled with a ton of accomplished and desirable singles that catch my expectations. I truthfully had a good time with dozens of indisputably noteworthy people. I ducked out of the mixer a little early following a promising exchange of numbers, in addition to the fact that I grew some social networking relationships for my job. Success.

Get out there. You won’t win if you don’t. Listen to me and you might as well have great expectations for dating.

Respectfully,

Larry D.
