Security and Airport Parking

August 5th, 2008

As with any time you park your car, it’s important to have security in mind, and all the more so when airport parking is involved. Higher security awareness is need when using airport parking facilities due to the fact that you’ll more than likely be away from your car for a number of days, which is slightly different to when you park the car in the drive overnight, only to use it again the next day or in the morning. So you usually should be doing, it’s important to check and make sure that no valuables are left out on display that might attract the attention of would be robbers or criminals. So any valuables about need to either be put somewhere out of sight, taken along with you on the journey, or they should be left at home. Also, make sure that the area you leave your car in is secure, as some airport parking areas might be more prone to the casual passer-by who fancies seeing what’s inside your car. And an incredibly important thing to check is that if your car is actually locked on not when you’re leaving it. It might seem like an obvious point to mention, but locking your car is an easily forgettable thing and many people seem to do neglect to lock their car on a daily basis. However, it’s up to the airport parking staff to persuade you to that everything is going to be fine and your car will be safe from harm. They want repeat customers so they should be doing their best to make sure that this is so, and will hopefully be taking measures to ensure that your car is returned to you in the exact same state in which you left it in their care.
